Baggage and animal transportation
Uzbekistan Airways (Airlines) - Transportation
Passengers, who paid not less than 50% of tariff for transportation, have the following free baggage allowance:
First class - 40 kg
Business class - 30 kg
Economy class - 20 kg
Excess luggage transportation, also a special luggage (animals, sports equipment, luggage exceeding fixed norms) are paid according to tariff for excess and special luggage.
During transportation by route Tashkent - New York - Tashkent (with any points of intermediate) the passenger who paid not less than 50% of tariffs and in spite of class of service, are admitted free transportation 2 registered seats of luggage, dimension of each one must not exeed 158 cm, and weight - 32 kg. Please note that the weight of articles may not be averaged out. This means that, should any of the articles exceeded 32 kg an extra charge will be incurred for excess weight - even if another article weight is less than 32 kg. Infants under two years of age are carried at 10% of tariffs and transport free luggage norm is 1 seat, dimension of which does not exceed 50-40-25 (115 cm) and 1 folding baby-carriage.
For each additional seat, also for exceeding limited dimensions and weight of luggage piece, the rate on excess luggage with amount USD108 are paid.
Transportation of small animals and birds:
Small animals and birds are admitted for transportation only after fulfillment appropriate rules of a country of departure, transit, destination, and only certificates and admission required by veterinary officials are had. Transportation of small animals and birds is not including admitted norm of carriage and paid due to tariffs for excess luggage.
Following animals are admitted for transportation in passengers cabin:
- dogs, cats, monkeys, birds whose mass together with container must not exceed 8 kg. If the weight exceeds 8 kg animals and birds must be transported in cargo compartments of aircraft only.
- guide dogs belonging to blind and deaf passengers with no limitation in weight but having dog-collar and muzzle, and tied at the feet of their passengers.
In case of damage of baggage, you may present the written claim on losses reimbursement immediately on damage reveal and not later than 7 days after getting baggage.
In case, if any of items is lack, you may present the written claim on losses reimbursement immediately on reveal and not later then 7 days after relevant flight.
In case of baggage delivery delay, you should inform the Baggage Lost and Found immediately after baggage delivery of your flight has been end. Also you should present the rest of the pieces of baggage you have got (if you have such ones) for weighting and setting the difference between the weights of baggage you gave for transportation and baggage you have got in fact. Searching of your baggage will be proceeded within 21 days. During this term, you may present the written claim on delay of baggage delivery.
If baggage won't be found within 21 days, you may present the written claim on losses reimbursement for missing baggage.
Claim management of airline will consider the claim and will advise the passenger of the results of of its deliberations within 3 months or 6 months if an overseas carrier is involved.
